You could probably use them, but there are specially made sets that are designed for the floating bridge and the vibrations of the banjo head. Knot the string in place on the tail, run it over the bridge,across the nut and into the tuning knob.They will be nylon and some of them may be wirewound. So, purchase a good set of banjolele strings from your favoriteprovider.(The nut is the bar the strings come overoff of the tuning pegs, or the 0 fret.) The bridge position iscritical! It should be the same distance from 12th fret as the nutis, plus just a titch. Itisn't fastened on, so if there aren't any strings holding in place,it may no longer be there! A new one can be purchased for a smallprice through many music supply stores. The bridge is a small piece of woodwith slots in it for the strings that sits on top of the skin.
